Six hour round trips ever other weekend are hellish, and I really didn’t mean to impune you or others in similar situations. The ones I’m crabby at mostly are the fairly generic soccer moms (“ladies who lunch” in UK parlance) in SUVs, whinging about fuel prices to their manicurists… although there are way too many people on my SIR list complaining about it all right now as well. There are worse things..! (And if it encourages people to investigate alternatives, maybe it’s not so bad?)
