I’m having a rather upsetting time. in between busyness and feeding people I have been keeping myself distracted by reading RedDwarf episode quotes. I think this one illustrates my situation brilliantly:
“Our deepest fear is going space crazy through loneliness. The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes.”

You will notice that the only character who appeared the closest to contentment was the evolved cat. I don’t know what that says about us humans, as a species, but it was worth noting I thought.

Inquisitor: This is your judgment day, bud. I gotta be cruel. There can’t be no favours.
The Cat: I’m hearing you on FM.
Inquisitor: I have to ask you the question. Justify your existence; what contribution have you made?
The Cat: I have given pleasure to the world because I have such a beautiful ass.
Inquisitor: Well, that’s true.
The Cat: Can I go now?
Inquisitor: That’s your case?
The Cat: You need more?
Inquisitor: Some might say that was a pretty shallow argument.
