remember alexander the great? of course you do.
remember his horse Bucephalus? I ran into him today at the cenex while looking for cat fud. I purchased him because my soul cried out for succor, in the form of retail therapy. plus, I’ve always wanted him, ever since this morning when I found out he existed.

the mary renault book is fantabulous
and the carton was damaged, so all it said was PHALUS.

Oh oh oh oh oh!!! Mary Renault!! I love her books!!! She’s wonderful!! Mmmm as someone who has always been ~ and will always be ~ a horse person, I’ve always loved Bucephalus as well.. afraid of his own shadow, poor thing.. and Alexander, the one person who realised what was frightening him and how to help him. I love those legends
