I’m breaking in a new scent…
it’s been about a month now.
my mom had this scent of soap in her bathroom for the last six years, and I have practically rolled in it every time I visited. I had no idea there was a spray. WOOOOOOOOO!
for the last fifteen years I wore chanel #5. I still love it, but it’s time for a change. scent is a huge thing for me, and I NEED to have a change, with the huge change in my life. it sounds weird, but the chanel is too emotionally charged for me.
signiture scent. I guess I need to change my signiture, as I don’t belong to that life anymore.
before the chanel, it was dior’s poison… I got in in europe the year it came out. in high school it was a few things, chanel, oscar de la renta ruffles…
so this new stuff, the copy says: Dream is a mix of white freesia, orange flower, and pure cloud. that’s great, as I expect it to compliment my own mix of heady insolence, sexual frustration, and a raft of pure bullshit.

Most perfume makes me sneeze. Not very glam to smell good but have a yard of snot dangling from one’s nose, so I forego the stuff.
I used to wear scents. I suppose I still do in one way or other. Dr. Bronner’s soaps are scented. Shampoos and conditioners are scented. But I just don’t care anymore. I think because I don’t eat meat I give off a different scent. Something like a rabbit, no doubt. This would explain the predators circling.

I wore Ruffles in junior high too. I cringe at the thought now. I am like James now, only I smell like rotting meat as well,I’m sure. But I love white freesia so now I have to sniff it next time I’m at the Gap.

I recently changed… I wore Dune for years, I still love it, but I changed to a Fig and Cassis for awhile, now I’m trying out Beyond Paradise. I always wear perfume, not for anyone else, but because I like to smell it on myself.
Now I’m going to go to the gap and give a sniff to what you smell like now. I used to wear Gap Grass, but it brings along too much baggage, I hear ya.

I wear Gap “Clean” and “Heaven” but I also have “Dream”. I really like Gap’s scents causes they’re not too cloying – just kinda fresh and light. And they’re CHEAP.
OTOH, my overall favorite scent is “24 Faubourg” by Hermes. It’s my standby. The nice thing is, it reminds me of my boy, cause I bought my first bottle (I’m on bottle #4 now) the day before I snuck off to LA to visit him for the very first time. So I totally associate it with him, not with my marriage!

I *love* Gap scents. My roomie’s signature sent is Gap Heaven. (: I’m a So Pink sorta girl!! Or Cucumber Melon from Bath & Body Works.

i don’t think it’s silly at all; i think anyone who doesn’t have emotional attachment to scents isn’t paying nearly enough attention. obsession is new york in winter. white linen is virginia in summer. both are bill. lagerfeld photo is my first boyfriend. always.
Oh my gosh I wear poison. My brother got it for me. It’s almost gone, now I have to shop for something new. Maybe I’ll try Gapscent.

i dunno what it is, but i’ve been told by a couple women that they liked my scent…wtf was causing it, i dunno…the spaghetti sauce stains on my pants? my ultra-pricey “right guard sport stick” in fresh flavor?

I wore Dior Poison in High School for awhile. Then I stopped wearing scent altogether because it just did benchmark periods of my life too well.
I used to wear Poison in High School. Most days I don’t wear anything, but my “scent” is Amour D’Amandier by Nina Ricci, unless I’m wearing Lavender or Jasmine oil…Danny wears “Eternity for Men”…though once in awhile, Patchouli oil.
